Drunk Driving Info That Will Change Your Life

There are a variety of different ways that you can get information on a topic. As I mentioned in my previous blog, drunk driving is 100% preventable and spreading awareness about the topic is one of the easiest ways to inform people of reasons not to drink and drive. Below I have provided three different sources of info on the consequences of drinking and driving. I have found information in three different sources of reliable information: a twitter page, a website, and a blog. I have also included a source of information not to be trusted.

1)Twitter Page

I found a popular twitter page that promotes prevention of drinking and driving

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking.

The twitter page posts tweets about first responders who help victims of alcohol impared driving incidents, reasons not to drink and drive, and also stories of victims of drunk driving.

This is good for teenagers and other underage people who are at risk for drinking and driving. This page would be best to look for when you are considering drinking and driving and need a reminder of all of the consequences you could face when getting behind the wheel impared.

It could potentially be triggering for people who have trauma that is associated with drunk driving. There are many shared stories of people who have lost loved ones to drunk driving incidents.

I would recommend this site for teenagers to use because teens are more likely than adults to engage in binge drinking behavior and make poor decisions when it comes to driving.

2) Website

This is an informative website created by Highway Safety Advocates

The organization behind this source is “We Save Lives” .This organization welcomes inspirational stories about anyone who has been injured by drunk or distracted driving, and how they are coping. We Save Lives also works to create different movements to help spread awareness about the dangers and consequences of driving under the influence.

This organization created a website that is a great platform for people who have been personally affected by drunk driving and wish to share their stories to try and prevent future incidents.

Again, this website contains sensitive subject matter and I would not recommend it to anyone who is trying to cope with a death related to alcohol-impared driving. Also, this site would not necessarily be useful for people who do not drink but they could take the information and pass it along to others who would find it useful.

Studies have shown that victims of drunk driving and their families often have a huge impact on society when they come together to spread awareness about the cause.

3)Blog

DUI Blog: Beyond the DUI: Bloggers Share Compelling Real Life DUI Comeback Stories

This blog, written by Michael Kraut, talks about life after getting a DUI. Kraut has been rated the top Los Angeles DUI lawyer by prosecutors for the past five years and has established a reputation of protecting his clients from criminal prosecution.

This blog is best for people who have gotten a DUI and need to know the steps to take to return back to normal life. I would suggest this blog to someone who needs reassurance that they will be able to recover after getting a DUI. If you are interested in DUI law I would suggest looking into blogs posted by this author.

This blog isn’t useful if you have not gotten a DUI.

DUI’s can be life changing and extremely stress inducing so seeing a layout of what life is like after getting one can help ease some of the stress.

4) Facebook

Facebook has many pages about drunk driving that are created by users who are not qualified to be speaking on the subject. The previous sources I mentioned are all created by credible organizations and authors. Facebook users often do not have enough knowledge to be speaking about such an important topic.

There are many different consequences that result from drinking and driving, most of them are life-altering. It is important to have the proper knowledge you need to get correct information. I have provided three different reliable sources about drinking and driving that include a twitter page, website, and blog. Whether you want to learn about preventing drunk driving or how to recover from a DUI, these different sources provide the information you will need.
